The 2nd Annual Round Rock Empty Bowls Festival
April 14, 2012, 11:00 a.m. - 3 p.m.

"Empty Bowls" is an international effort to help end hunger through art, action, and awareness.

The Empty Bowls model involves artists creating and donating ceramic bowls, then serving a meal at a community event. Guests choose a one-of-a-kind bowl to use and keep as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world. In exchange for the meal and the bowl, guests contribute a suggested minimum donation. 100% of proceeds are devoted to local hunger-fighting organizations- in our case, the Round Rock Area Serving Center.

Where: FUMC Round Rock, 1004 N. Mays St.

All are invited to attend the Festival to choose from over 1000 handmade bowls, share a simple meal of soup and bread, enjoy local entertainment, and make a donation to support the Serving Center.
